Who runs the fund

The Rupee Fund is a FOSS United community initiative run by community members. The community team runs this website. Adoption of Foundation policies does not give the Foundation control of the fund.

Policies we adopt

We adopt the standards for lawful use and respect for intellectual property in the FOSS United terms of service, as reviewed on 7 September 2026. The terms on this page apply to rupeefund.org. References in the source to Foundation services, ownership, contacts, or agreements do not assign those roles to the Foundation for this fund. We do not adopt the source provision that makes submissions Foundation property. Our Privacy page states how we use form submissions. Where the source differs from our local terms, our local terms apply. Later changes to the source do not change these terms automatically.

Before launch

This site collects requests for a launch email and answers that help us plan the fund. Signing up creates no payment obligation, membership, voting right, or promise of a grant. We take no payments through this site at this stage. Proposed contribution amounts and funding plans can change before launch.

Use of this site

Use this site lawfully. Do not submit unlawful content, misuse another person's email address, or interfere with the site. Respect the rights and licences of content owners. A link to another organisation does not make that organisation an operator of this fund.

Before contributions open

We will publish the payment recipient, payment terms, cancellation process, and refund responsibilities before we accept contributions. These terms do not promise a tax benefit or identify the Foundation as the recipient of future payments.

Changes

We will publish changes here with a new effective date. The local Privacy, Refunds, and Code of Conduct pages add rules for those subjects.
